About Korat cats

The Korat cat breed is often thought of as a symbol of good luck. And if you are a korat cat parent you certainly are lucky! Korat cats are also known as Si-Sawat cats and they are an ancient breed in Thailand.
These regal cats are affectionate and intelligent companions. They like to stay close, snuggling up whilst you watch TV or watching curiously as you do D.I.Y. They have a distinctive silky, blue-silver coat and a heart shaped face.
This elegant appearance makes them all the more lovable.

Benefits of fresh cat food for Korat Cats

Feeding Korat cats fresh cat food every day can have multiple benefits on their health and happiness. These include:
● Improved energy
● Better digestion
● Shinier, healthy coats
Like all cats, Korats are obligate carnivores. This means that their body is designed to get the nutrients they need from meat. Their teeth are sharp for tearing meat, not grinding plants. Their digestive tract is shorter for quick processing of raw meat. Their saliva and their liver don’t break down plants like herbivores do. Yet the industry standard cat food is often low in high quality meat.
At KatKin, we’re doing something different. We are doing better for cats by producing fresh cat food made with 100% real human-grade meat. Switch fearlessly and see the benefits of fresh cat food with your Korat today.

Korat cat FAQs

You should feed your Korat cat one pouch of KatKin fresh cat food per day. This is because we tailor our food to every cat we meet. Inside our vet-formulated recipes are the exact daily calorie and nutrient needs your Korat requires to thrive. If they have been good, they might also enjoy one of our healthy cat treats!
Yes, Korat cats are considered hypoallergenic. Although no cat is 100% allergen free, Korat cats should cause less of a reaction. Like Siberian cats, Korats produce less of the Fel-D1 allergen. They also tend to shed less than average which means they spread their dander less.
Korat cats are considered rare outside of their native home in Thailand. They are first thought to have come to the UK in 1889 but were passed off as Siamese cats rather than Korats. Due to their small gene pool, there are still relatively few Korat cats in the UK.
Ideally, a Korat kitten should be fed 3 to 4 meals a day. Keeping that in mind, we perfectly portion your Korat kitten’s food into daily pouches. This means you can give your Korat kitten all the nutrients they need by splitting one KatKin pouch into multiple meals throughout the day.
