Improved energy

Better digestion
Birman's as with all other cats, are obligate carnivores. This means they are genetically suited to getting their nutrients from meat. Many well-known cat foods still use very little meat in their food. It is poor quality and cooked at high temperatures so that it will last on a shelf for months, or even years.

Birman cat FAQs
We recommend feeding your Birman cat one pouch of KatKin fresh cat food every day. This is because we tailor to every cat we meet. Inside our vet-formulated recipes are the exact daily calorie and nutrient needs your Birman requires to live their best life.
Ideally, a Birman kitten should be fed between 3 - 4 meals per day. We perfectly portion your Birman kitten’s food into pouches. One pouch is a daily serving, filled with all the nutrients your kitten needs. With this in mind, you should divide one KatKin fresh kitten food pouch into 3 or 4 meals for your Birman.
Unfortunately for cat-allergy sufferers, Birman cats are not considered a hypoallergenic cat breed. However, Birman cats do produce fewer allergens than other breeds. Since they don’t have an undercoat, they shed less fur. Shedding fur is one of the primary ways in which allergens are spread.
Birman cats are usually indoor cats. They enjoy the home comforts and luxury of primarily being a house cat. That said, some Birman cats do enjoy going outside. If you are letting your Birman out, make sure that your garden is cat-safe and an enclosed space.
Birmans are often called the sacred cat of Burma because according to legend they were tasked with protecting a Temple in Burma called Lao Tsun. One night, the temple was attacked and the head priest was wounded. A Birman cat called Sinh who was especially devoted to the priest came to comfort him in his dying moments. Sinh placed his paws on the priest’s chest and the man’s soul passed into the cat. As a result, Sinh's appearance changed. His coat turned from pure white to a more golden tone. The tip of his tail, his legs and face became the colour of the earth. His eyes turned sapphire blue and his four paws remained white to symbolise purity. The other temple cats transformed also to give us the Birman we know and love today.
